On behalf of the BYU Honors Program we welcome you to Late Summer Honors 2017. Please read the following information carefully.
At check-in you will receive a program schedule, a T-shirt, your course materials and your BYU housing assignment for Thursday and Friday.

You will attend classes on campus Thursday and Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and Monday—Wednesday morning with lab, research, and/or study time in the afternoons. Please be aware that class times are subject to change and will depend on the instructor's schedules. If you have specific questions regarding your class, please contact your professor directly. Email addresses for the LSH faculty will be available on our Web site prior to the start of the program.
In addition to your classes you are invited to participate in a variety of program activities that include a fireside, dance, opening social, closing banquet, devotionals, various evening actitvities and an LDS Sunday services. Information regarding Sunday services for non LDS faiths is available by contacting the BYUSA Service Desk at 801-422-3901.
You are expected to attend all classes and take part in all discussions, labs, and final projects. Participants who pass their course will receive one credit. This class will appear on your Fall semester schedule. Please do not delete it off your schedule. Grades will be posted at the end of Fall semester.

Daily wear for the program should include long pants or knee length shorts (shorts that touch the knee—no cutoffs) for men and women, or modest knee length dresses or skirts and blouses (women). A comfortable dress or skirt of knee length or longer for young women and a collared shirt, tie and pants (no jeans) for young men is appropriate dress for Sunday services and the fireside.
Dress and grooming standards are strictly enforced. Long hair and earrings are not acceptable for men. Clothing is inappropriate when it is sleeveless, strapless, backless, or revealing; has slits above the knee; oris form fitting. If you are not dressed appropriately, you will be asked to change. Shorts are allowed for classes and some program activities, if they touch the knee. More information regarding the BYU Honor Code is available here.
Brigham Young University is located in Provo, Utah approximately 4,500 feet above sea level. Summer daytime temperatures range between 85 and 95 degrees and evening temperatures cool to between 60 and 70 degrees (F).
If you drive to campus, there is parking for participants in the C lots around the residence halls. If you are bringing a car to campus for fall semester, be sure to visit the BYU Parking and Traffic Office website here.
If you are driving to Provo via I-15 southbound or northbound, take the BYU-Orem University Parkway Exit 269, and head East on University Parkway. The Parkway will take you past University Mall and bring you into Provo. Follow University Parkway to Canyon Road (150 West), turn right. Go south on Canyon Road for approximately ½ block, the Helaman Halls complex will be on your left. Due to Education Week, you will need to park in the main parking area on the west side and walk to the Cannon Center. Check-in will be located in the Cannon Center.If you have a vehicle, we encourage you to leave your luggage in it until after you have checked in and received your room assignment.
If you are arriving by plane and need shuttle service, a commercial shuttle service is available to transport you from the Salt Lake International Airport to BYU. Advanced reservations are required. Have your flight number and your arrival time ready when you call. Please remember that this company is not affiliated with BYU and you must contact them directly.
